- Trim any large Hedges or Bushes to avoid concealment of a suspect.

- We do not recommend leaving ANYTHING in your vehicles overnight! Not even in the trunk.....

- Lock your car doors! If you choose to leave them unlocked, do not leave anything inside for the taking. Thieves will break in for a small amount of change!

September 29, 2011 Break and Enters in the Tantallon Area
We have had several Break and Enters in our area since September 12th. Possible suspect information has the driver as being a light skinned black male and the passenger may be white. They were seen in a dark blue or black vehicle 4 door vehicle.

Please keep in mind if you have an alarm on your house as the culprit(s) broke into homes with house alarms. Have your neighbors who are home during the day, or work shift work keep an eye for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary. Call the police ASAP on suspicious activity or if suspect(s) and/or vehicle is seen driving around. Typically suspect cars are driving slowly "scoping" out residences to break into. Although sometimes, they already know which ones they plan on targeting. They also like homes that are "sheltered" from neighbors and the roadway.

Feel free to pass along the above noted information.

Thank you,
Susan

Be on the Lookout For - Reported April 12, 2011

In Maplewood a caller reported that at 11am two olfer male teens knocked on thei homeowners doors...one teen was at the back door and the other was at the front.  When one of the homeowners who looked out of the window was seen by one of the males, the suspects ran to a black older model car.  There were two other people observed to be waiting in the car. This appears to be a B&E waiting to happen. Please keep in mind during patrols.
